Cookie Policy
Which cookies this site uses, what they're for and how you can reject them. Questions to legal@valtriom.com.
UPDATED AUGUST 2026
In short
This site uses a small number of cookies. Most are necessary for it to work: remembering your language, your time zone and your session. You can reject the ones that aren't from the notice that appears when you arrive.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. It is used to remember information from one page to the next: the language you chose, whether you signed in or what is in your cart.
Along with cookies, this site uses the browser's local storage, which serves a similar purpose but is not sent to the server with every request.
2. Cookies used by this site
These are the cookies set when you browse www.valtriom.com:
- session_id — Necessary. Keeps your session active while you browse and identifies your shopping cart. It is deleted when you sign out or when it expires.
- frontend_lang — Necessary. Remembers the language in which you prefer to view the site.
- tz — Necessary. Stores your time zone so dates and times are displayed correctly.
- website_cookies_bar — Necessary. Records your choice regarding this notice, so you are not asked again on every visit.
None of these cookies identify you personally or are shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
3. Local storage
The site's chat assistant stores in your browser the history of the current conversation and an activity indicator, so you don't lose the thread if you change pages. That information remains on your device and you can delete it by clearing the site's data from your browser.
4. Third-party services
This site loads an external audience measurement service that lets us know how many people visit us and what content they view. That service may set its own cookies and collect browsing data in accordance with its own policies, over which Valtriom has no control.
If you reject non-necessary cookies, you can block these services from your browser settings or with blocking extensions.
5. How your consent is obtained
When you first visit, you will see a notice with three options: accept all cookies, accept only the necessary ones, or read this policy before deciding. Your choice is recorded and respected on subsequent visits.
Necessary cookies are set without prior consent, because the site cannot be provided without them. This is the only category that works this way.
6. How to revoke or change your choice
You can change your choice at any time by deleting this site's cookies from your browser. When you return, the notice will appear again and you can choose a different option.
You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies automatically. Please note that if you block the necessary ones, some site features will stop working: you will not be able to sign in or complete a purchase.
Instructions can be found in each browser's help, in the privacy or browsing data section.
7. How long they remain
Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Those that remember a preference, such as the language or your choice regarding this notice, remain until you delete them or until they expire.
8. Legal basis
The processing of data associated with cookies is governed by Law 81 of March 26, 2019 on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Panama and its Executive Decree 285 of 2021, and is detailed in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies or third-party services, we will update this document and ask for your consent again when the law requires it.
