No. The published price is for the equipment. When you add it to the cart you choose whether you need installation service; if you check it, we contact you and quote it based on your case. Checking it doesn't change the equipment price.
Models with BDL in the part number come with 12 months of Unified Threat Protection: FortiGuard IPS, antivirus, web filtering and application control, plus FortiCare support. Without that subscription the firewall still works as a firewall and VPN, but the content inspection features stop receiving updates. From month 13 on, renewal is quoted separately.
No. FortiSwitch and FortiAP don't carry a FortiGuard subscription. What you can contract separately, if you want it, is the FortiCare support contract.
Yes, and it's the most common approach. The FortiGate works on its own. Switches and access points are added later and are managed from the same device, without changing what you already have set up.
Fortinet's standard hardware warranty, one year, with the equipment registered in your company's name. Bundle models also include FortiCare for 12 months.
